1,000 NATIVE PLANTS DELIVER DEVINE TRANSFORMATION FOR MAWSON GREEN

MORE than 1,000 trees and shrubs will be planted in a new rehabilitation program underway at Devine’s popular Mawson Green community at Meadows.

The developer is aiming to give a degraded creek bed a new lease of life by regenerating habitat for fauna and flora, and mitigating soil erosion.

The rehabilitation program, which ends this month, comes as Mawson Green gets ready to release more homesites in Stage 4 to market in September due to strong demand.

Devine South Australia Communities Manager Troy Jamieson said the company was set to invest $850,000 on civil works and landscaping for Stage 4. The company has already spent over $6.2 million on civil and landscaping works for the community already.

“We anticipate significant demand for Stage 4, which will offer more of the same high quality, well priced land that Mawson Green has become renowned for, as well as our commitment to spend more on civil and landscaping works at Mawson Green,” he said.

He said Mawson Green was a popular choice for buyers looking for a tree change.

“Mawson Green is continuing to attract high volumes of enquiry with young families, mature aged families and retirees who are looking for a large block to build their dream home in the country,” he said.

“However, they still want to convenient access to the city and the vibrant lifestyle it affords. Mawson Green is conveniently located 45 minutes from the Adelaide CBD and 30 minutes from southern Adelaide beaches and within walking distance of cafes, shops, recreational activities, child care and a school.”

Located just 45 minutes from Adelaide, Mawson Green is a 30-hectare community that will feature 200 homes upon completion and cater to 600 residents.

Approximately six hectares of Mawson Green will be retained as public open space, with a path network continuing to be built along the creek and wetlands.

Mount Barker is just 10 minutes away, which offers all the facilities you need including shopping centres, schools, restaurants, cinemas and a golf course.

The community is also close to attractions including the McClaren Vale winery region (20 minutes away) and south coast beaches (30 minutes).
